Llama Trekking
Meet and Greet the Llamas. Llama Land is nestled in the hills just three miles from Truro, Cornwall. The Tripp family has farmed the land where the Llamas live for three generations, mostly as a sheep farm.
In the past eleven years, 10 new hedgerows and 14,000 trees have been planted improving the conservation value of the farm, enhancing the environment as well as giving extra shelter for the animals. The owners introduced llamas to their farm in order to help control scrub areas and to protect sheep from foxes.
Since then Llamas have stolen their hearts and taken over their lives.! They now have a herd of Llamas gracing the farm. The Llamas are part of the family and each and every one of them gets a name!
Each llama is a delight and has its own individual character. All the animals are treated with kindness and respect.
The Llama Trekking experience will be as follows:
- Talk and tour of the whole farm and 70 llamas, see the babies, depending on the time of year.
- Get to know your llama grooming and getting used to them before the walk.
- Then walk with the llamas over acres of farmland.
- The whole experience can last 2-3 hours.
